Radio Codes

ER:LC departments use APCO standard 10-codes and Quick Radio shortcuts to communicate clearly over dispatch channels during pursuits and emergency calls.

Code	Standard Meaning
10-4	Acknowledged / message received
10-7	Out of service
10-8	In service / available for calls
10-9	Repeat your last transmission
10-13	Officer needs assistance
10-15	Subject in custody
10-19	Return to station
10-20	Location / 'what's your 20'
10-23	Arrived at scene
10-32	Person with a weapon
10-50	Traffic accident
10-52	Request an ambulance
10-70	Fire alarm / fire in progress
10-76	En route to location
10-97	Arrived on scene
10-99	Officer needs emergency help / all units respond
