Server Configuration

Link Integration & Discovery

Module 1: Generating the Join Code

Having a fantastic server means nothing if players can't easily join it. Your primary tool for onboarding players is the Private Server Join Code. In your server management panel, you can generate a unique code. If you have the Pro Server Pack, you can even customize this code to match your server's name (e.g., "AeroRP"). A memorable custom code is vastly superior to a random string of numbers.

Module 2: Server Tags and Discovery

ERLC features an in-game server browser. To ensure your server is discoverable by players looking for your specific style of gameplay, you must utilize tags.

Module 3: Community Platform Integration (Discord/Guilded)

Your off-platform community hub (usually Discord) is the heart of your server. Integrating your join link effectively is crucial.

Create a dedicated, read-only channel named #server-info or #how-to-join. In this channel, clearly display the server join code and an embedded Roblox link that directs them straight to the game. Furthermore, if you utilize Roblox to Discord webhooks, you can set up a bot that automatically updates a message stating whether the server is currently "Online" or "Offline" and displaying the current player count.

Module 4: Marketing Best Practices

Promoting your server requires tact. Spamming your join code in the chat of other servers is a quick way to get banned and damage your reputation.

Instead, utilize dedicated ERLC advertising Discords, partner with other small servers, or create engaging TikTok or YouTube Shorts showcasing unique roleplay moments from your server. Always include a clean, easy-to-read join code at the end of your promotional material.

Conclusion

Link integration is the bridge between a player discovering you on social media and actually spawning into Liberty County. Keep your join code simple, your server tags accurate, and your Discord onboarding seamless to maximize your player retention.
